Does Lush Offer A Flexible Payment Plan?
Yes - we're proud to offer our brides multiple payment options to better manage your finances during your wedding planning process.
Are your products hypoallergenic?
Hypoallergenic is a word made up by cosmetic companies to simply impress their consumers and market their product as a less allergy producing cosmetic. Simply put, there’s no such thing, because there’s no way to customize a product to everyone’s allergies. The best way to tell if a product is right for you is to know what you react to and check the ingredients, which we will gladly do for you if you give us a heads up. For more information, check out what the FDA has to say about hypoallergenic products by visiting them at theirwebsite.
How long will my make-up last?
Your eye make-up will look flawless all night! If you are going with the traditional application, you may want to bring powder for touch ups. We do recommend reapplying lipstick if you’ll be greeting people with kisses. Our artistry has been tested! Many of our brides have told us that their make-up stayed on until the next day. Lashes are meant to stay on for the initial application. If taken off, cleaned, and set properly you can get another use out of them.
If I provide my own lashes, will that change the price?
Lashes are an investment into making your eyes pop! They take time to apply and make such a difference. Whether your bridal party brings their own, or uses ours, it is the same price for the artist’s application.
How much does it cost for tattoo coverage?
Tattoo and birthmark coverage is priced according to the size of coverage. We highly suggest having a tattoo trial run along with your make-up trial. We’ll be able to give you a rate before we begin. Please let our booking manager know ahead of time if you will be needing a tattoo coverup trial.
I would like to have a trial, but my wedding is months away.
Will the make-up be the same on the wedding day? How do you remember what you did?
At every trial, our artists will produce a face chart with the products used and the application technique. We’ll keep this with your file until the day of the wedding along with photos. We’ll duplicate the same look on your wedding day. And don’t worry, we’ll always rematch the foundation on the day of incase your skin tone has changed between seasons.
Where are your trials held?
All trials are held in Cliffwood, NJ (exit 120 GSP). We invite our brides to bring whomever they want at their trial.
How does the booking process work?
What are your methods of payment?
Advanced bookings and retainers can be paid by cash, check, or credit-card. We accept all forms of card payments including Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. All remaining balances are due ONE BUSINESS WEEK before the wedding day. Checks can be made out to Lush Artistry LLC.
Is there a travel fee?
Our standard travel fee is $50 for up to the first 25 miles. Additional miles are charged .55/mile. Rates are calculated round trip from Old Bridge Township, NJ 07721 or Long Beach, CA 90802. Parking and tolls are not included, and will be billed separate on the day of the event.
I have a large bridal party, is it extra for multiple artists/stylists?
Our team is very time conscious and works by a set schedule made before the wedding to maintain efficient timing. However, for larger bridal parties that have a limited amount of time to get ready, an additional make-up artist or hair stylist to get you ready in a fraction of the time are $100 each.
What type of products do you use?
Lush artists use top brands of make-up products such as MAC, Lorac, Anastasia Beverly Hills, NARS, Make up Forever, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay, Ardell, Stila and others. We use the MAC Pro airbrush machine and run it with MAC silicone-based airbrush primers and foundations to keep your make-up picture perfect and waterproof.
